James graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2008 and began criminal practice in 2009. His practice focuses on Criminal, Regulatory and Disciplinary litigation at both the trial and appellate levels of court.  James defends individual, corporate and institutional clients and provides criminal consultation services upon request.

From 2009-2018 James practiced law as a Crown Attorney conducting numerous trials in all areas of criminal law. He has been an instructor and lecturer at Dalhousie's Weldon faculty of law. James has also presented to various groups of lawyers and law enforcement professionals on complex criminal and evidentiary procedures.

James focuses on client service and is often contacted at the earliest stages of criminal investigation to offer guidance.  He relentlessly pursues his client's interest and takes pride in getting results.
