Trevor McGuigan profile image

Trevor McGuigan graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2008 and articled with a criminal defence firm in Halifax. He was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2009 and practices primarily criminal defence. Trevor has represented clients facing a broad range of criminal charges, which has included several murder trials and other complex cases, as well as criminal appeals. Trevor also represents clients charged with regulatory offences such as Fisheries Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act charges.

Trevor is the current president of the Nova Scotia Criminal Lawyers’ Association. He has presented at various conferences on an array of criminal law topics. Trevor is also a part-time lecturer at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law where he taught first-year Criminal Law.
